Steps to Create a New Project

  1. Access Rights: Ensure you have admin rights, as only admins can create new projects.

  2. Project Details: Navigate to the 'Create a Project' section. Here, you'll need to input several key details:

    • Project Name: Choose a name that clearly represents the project's scope and purpose.
    • Project Description: Provide a brief yet comprehensive description of what the project aims to achieve.
    • Start and End Dates: Set the timeline for the project, including both commencement and expected completion dates.
    • Maximum Number of Hours: Define the total number of hours allocated for the project. This will be crucial for tracking and resource management.
    • Maximum Slippage Percentage: Set the permissible percentage by which actual hours spent by contributors can deviate from the planned hours. This helps in managing expectations and adjusting timelines.
    • Maximum Operative Hours: Establish the upper limit of hours that can be actively worked on the project. This aids in balancing workload and ensuring efficiency.
  3. Save and Initialize: Once all details are filled in, save the project to initialize it within the Archr system.
